Job Search Basics:
This class helps you to make sure you have a great resume, discusses having a fluid 30 second introduction, and gives an overview of interviewing and job search.
Online Application Basics:
This class helps you to navigate through online job applications and features insider tips on how to get through the online systems so a recruiter will see your application.
In a group setting you will participate in an interactive discussion about the do’s and don’ts of interviews and have an opportunity to answer sample interview questions.
Orange County: Monthly Career Planning Sessions
One of our Central Florida Employment Council (CFEC) Board Members, Farnaz Namin-Hedayati, Ph.D., Corporate Psychologist, from Center for Work Life, volunteers her time once a month to help job seekers in the Orange County, FL area. Dr. Namin-Hedayati believes that:
“It’s difficult to stay focused, relevant and accountable during the search process. At the Center for Work Life, we have made the choice to offer complimentary Career Planning Sessions to make that not be an issue. We offer career planning sessions free of charge once per month. Here you can have on-site coaching of your assets, obtain detailed tools on how to use social media, learn job search strategies including networking tips and learn interviewing tips to wow your audience. Whether you are looking to revamp your career, change it, or return to it after a change in your life, you can get great tools at these sessions to propel you forward. At the Center we believe if someone is interested in landing the job of their choice, nothing should stand in their way.”
