Christian HELP is a private, non-profit, Christian social service agency whose purpose is to prevent homelessness by helping people finds jobs while providing for them materially and spiritually. We help people move forward in life through employment in order to provide for themselves and their family. We believe in teaching people how and where to find work and how to keep it. We look to partner with job seekers in the Central Florida area that are willing and able to work and want someone to come alongside them in their journey. It is our privilege to coach them, teach them, empower and encourage them, and often pray for them. There is no one else in the community serving people through employment with a faith-based approach and with the success we’ve had, other than Christian HELP.

Christian HELP Employment and Resource Center is recruiting a Director of Development to design and execute a fundraising development plan to build and maintain relationships with individuals, businesses, and churches while overseeing support staff and volunteers.
Specifically, the Director of Development will:
* Develop fundraising strategies and oversee all aspects of fundraising programs.
* Manage prospect lists and seek and secure gifts.
* Identify and engage new donor bases.
* Create and manage cultivation and recognition events.
* Ensure that relevant data is recorded, utilized and evaluated.
* Lead a team of staff and volunteers to accomplish goals.
* Steward all donor relationships well.
The ideal candidate has a passion for Christian service and the mission of Christian HELP and is inspired to make multiple opportunities available to others to support the ministry through giving. He or she must be assertive, organized, have integrity, strong interpersonal skills, a diligent work ethic, and must be an excellent communicator. Candidate must be located in Central Florida and have 3+ years in nonprofit fundraising with a proven track record of raising over 400K annually with working knowledge of current trends in charitable giving. Position reports directly to the Executive Director and must have the ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals, businesses and churches. A bachelor’s degree in Development/Fundraising/Communications and/or a certification such as CFRE, a plus.
