OPS Custodial Worker

Location: Main Campus (Orlando)
The Student Health Services OPS Custodial Worker position is responsible for routine housekeeping/custodial assignments in Student Health Services involving cleaning and minor maintenance.
Maintain presentable appearance throughout the Health Center.
PODs and Exam rooms:
Dispense Cetylcide II premix detergent pump bottle. Exam tables are wipe down by nursing staff after each visit.
Clean all stools, desk front and sides, all chairs and all area of examining table, and in sink, with Cetylcide.
Clean cords and lamps.
Spot clean walls and doors with all-purpose cleaner, if soil clean with Cetylcide.
Restock all antibacterial hand soap dispensers and paper supplies.
Clean door handles and push plates.
Vacuum air vents weekly.
Dust mop POD and Exam room area.
Empty all trash baskets.
Wet mop all area with disinfectant.
On each exam door there is a Health Center Infection Control log, which must be sign each day after the exam room is clean.
All Rest Rooms:
Clean rest rooms thoroughly throughout the day.
Empty wastebaskets, reline with fresh liner.
Spot clean wall, soil area clean with Cetylcide II.
Clean sink, toilet seat and outside of the toilet with disinfectant.
Restock soap and paper supplies.
Sweep floor and mop floor with disinfectant.
Empty wastebaskets reline with fresh liner.
Dust twice a week
All lobbies and waiting areas:
Waste baskets empty, reline with fresh liner
Dust tables and window edges
Clean glass surface
Spot clean walls and doors with multi-purpose disinfectant cleaner
Dust mop surface floors
Wet mop, surface with germicidal detergent
Sweep and mop stairwell
Straighten and wipe down chairs
Clean water fountains using sanitizer.
Trash cleared away from entrances
Empty outside trash
Biohazard waste collected from treatment areas, bagged in Red Bad or contained in Sharp containers
Transported to designated areas
Item placed in special cardboard box
All spills are cleaned immediately. Area decontaminated with Cetylcide II.
Red bag mop head and cleaning cloths
Transported to designated area
Perform other duties as assigned.
AHSC-Student Health Services
Hours of work:
May vary based on needs of the operation. Typically, Monday - Friday day shift. Occasionally, may be needed to work Saturdays.
Type of Appointment:
$12.00 Per Hour
Completion of 9th Grade.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in cleaning/working in a medical facility.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
Ability to type emails, beginner Microsoft Excel use, and complete forms in proper format.
