CAD II Designer / Engineer

WHO IS THE CAD II Designer

The CAD II Designer contributes to Regal’s mission of excellence by demonstrating a true passion for creating quality products and the marine industry. This individual will work alongside the Engineering Team to conceptualize and design luxury, performance boats.This individual will have an immediate impact by:

Drafting detailed sketches and renderings of potential boat designs using computer-aided design (CAD)

Working closely with marine engineers to develop specifications for all systems employed in the vessel.

Conceptualizing and designing products for all parts of the boat.

Explaining complex concepts as they relate to boat design.

Having an understanding of boat construction materials and the engineering requirements for boat elements.

Collaborating with vendors to create or modify new or existing purchased parts

Working in conjunction with the rest of the engineering team to ensure clear and precise communications.

Working strongly within established product scope, using Regal’s set design standards while learning the industry capabilities and developing an understanding for engineering manufacture ability.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

MUST HAVES

Engineering background

5+ years of experience in the marine industry

Two years of experience using 3D modeling programs, preferably Rhino

Strong attention to detail

Demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience

A passion for boating & 3D modeling/CAD

NICE-TO-HAVES

Rhino Experience

Hands-on experience with fiberglass or composites
