Generator Installation Technician

As a Generator Installation Technician, you will....
Operate a bucket truck throughout local counties.
Set 7.5kw+ generators outside of residential homes according to necessary requirements by county.
Install 7.5kw+ generators outside of residential homes according to necessary requirements by county.
Install generator transfer switches/smart modules.
Install conduit, wiring, and electrical services to home.
Create material lists for work orders and maintain vehicle inventory.
If need be, replace electrical panels to ensure proper functioning of new generator.
Identify the problem and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps, determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts.
Communicate all information to customers in an accurate, factual manner.
Deliver exceptional customer service to customers.
Ensure work scope has been performed and unit is operational.
Write clear and concise report on installation procedure.
Input labor and materials on electronic work order each day.
Maintain a clean vehicle and track maintenance requirements.
Lead and train an electrical apprentice on all the processes listed above.

The ability to provide decisive, focused leadership.
The ability to effectively direct and motivate others.
The ability to physically climb and maneuver on ladders, lifts, and/or tight places, digging trenches outside, lay conduit in trench and pull cable in conduit, and carry 50+ lbs with no restrictions.
The ability to perform high quality work in a timely and efficient manner.
An active driver's license and clean driving record.
Experience in the electrical field.

Requirements:
Generator Installation/Service experience preferred
Thoroughly understand the electrical fundamentals of circuitry.
Bilingual (Preferred)
High school Diploma or equivalent
Must pass a background check
Journeyman License (Preferred)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
6:45am -3:45 pm
Rotating on-call weekends
Overtime available
Job Type: Full-time
Pay:
Starting from $22-$28 per hour (Dependent on experience level and knowledge-ability)
