Well known firm is seeking a motivated, hardworking and knowledgeable litigation paralegal. Ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in civil litigation. Candidate must have an exceptional work ethic, be available to travel, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position requires someone with a great attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
Duties include performing paralegal billable activities for multiple attorneys such as:
" Obtain medical and other investigative records via authorizations and/or subpoenas
" Review medical records and prepare detailed summaries
" Calculate and track deadlines based on rules, judicial preferences, and/or client guidelines
" Assist with preparing cases for trial including preparing witness and exhibit lists
" Draft responses to basic discovery, pleadings and motions
" Maintain production logs and clear, concise records of documents produced by all parties
" Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, inspections, and other case-related conferences
" Interact with clients courteously and professionally with an emphasis on good client service
" Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
" Candidates should have excellent communication and writing skills; understand local, state and federal rules; be able to review, understand, and follow client guidelines; have experience with both e-filing (in local and federal courts) and e-service; and be a self-starter. Must also possess advanced software skills, particularly with the MS Office Suite. Total Office (f/k/a Client Profiles) experience preferred.
