3.0 Under direction of the sheet metal supervisor, the press operator will set up various brake presses and bend sheet metal components to drawing specified dimensions.
4.0 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
4.1 Reviews work order to determine correct dimensions and bend angles
4.2 Changes dyes as required per part
4.3 Assures that machine is operating properly and safely with all machine guards in place
4.4 Performs weekly maintenance on press machines
5.0 PRINCIPLE WORKING-RELATIONSHIPS:
5.1 Sheet Metal Supervisor
5.2 Production Control
6.0 REQUIRED EDUCATION:
6.1 High School or Equivalent
7.0 EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
7.1 Minimum one year similar experience preferred
7.2 Experience programming back gauges
8.1 Ability to read and interpret drawings
8.2 Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, tape measure
8.3 Math skills, especially fractions
8.4 Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
8.5 Ability to adhere to all safety standards
