The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a dynamic and proven operations leader as the Executive Director to direct and oversee day-to-day Family Center / branch operations.

1.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; field of Business, Management preferred. Master’s degree a plus.
2.Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in operations management in health and wellness with a comparable membership size is required.
3.YMCA executive management experience for a full-service YMCA operations facility is essential.
4.Minimum 5 years of related experience executing successful programs in the areas of sports, wellness, and membership; with proven trends in growth of comparable revenue dollars
5.Minimum 3 years of executive operations leadership experience with comparable membership revenues of $4M+; with positive trends year over year in membership acquisition and retention.
6.Proven experience managing, recruiting and working with a volunteer board required; including leading a comparable fundraising campaign and working closely with major donors, key stakeholders and partners.
7.Microsoft Office proficiency required.
8.Proven experience implementing innovative solutions for improving payroll management; resulting in a positive impact to the bottom line.
9.Prior experience overseeing a successful capital campaign plan is a plus.
Under the leadership of the District Vice President, the Executive Director will direct and supervise all aspects of the family center / branch operations, including an annual fundraising campaign. They must be a team-motivator and create an environment that delivers world-class customer service with an emphasis in new membership acquisitions and member retention. Candidates will be challenged to provide a successful track record in comparable fiscal management including the growth of revenue dollars and the execution of innovative programming in the areas of sports, wellness and membership; resulting in a greater impact to our members and measured by revenue goals. S/he must be a leader in the community; attending social events and representing the Y and its core mission and cause. The incumbent is responsible for recruiting key community leaders and board members; create and implement a well-conceived development/fund raising plan to achieve short term and long term objectives, and will lead the initiative by marshaling the resources of the board, soliciting private donations and high level donors; individuals, corporations and foundations.
This individual must have excellent communication skills; with the ability to easily cultivate relationships and quickly build rapport with a variety of individuals. A key objective is to expand the capacity of operational performance to educate and better serve the community by engaging individuals in the Y’s three areas of focus: healthy living, social responsibility and youth development.
