The Senior CRM / Marketing Data Analyst will be on the front-line of the company's digital transformation and report into the Manager of Marketing Technology with Panorama. Panorama brings a broader perspective and new possibilities to the world of travel and is part of Wyndham Destinations, and our brands include: RCI, 7Across (formerly DAE), Love Home Swap, the Registry Collection, @Work International, and Alliance Reservations Network (ARN). This key role will focus on the promotion and enablement of a data-driven culture within Marketing and amongst its stakeholders. The Strategic Data Analyst will be involved in the full data management lifecycle from sourcing, cleansing, and usage to identifying insights and opportunities. You'll work within a newly implemented Customer Data Platform maintaining a holistic view of the customer and enabling teams to draw insights to make intelligent data driven decisions. The role will report to the Manager of Marketing Technology
Develop as trusted advisor regarding RCI's customer data. Support data inquiries. Maintain a deep understanding of the data, MDM processes, and business rules.
Support new and existing technological integrations, upgrades, and ingestion of new data sources by validating data between systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Be vigilant in data analysis to come to correct conclusions. Write data scripts/queries to understand input data, output data and transformations required to bridge the two.
Visualize data. Draw conclusions, present insights and tell compelling stories.
Help to evolve applied data strategies including data acquisition, personalization, and modeling.
Drive for success. In absence of specific tasks and direction, determine what needs to be done for a successful outcome and work semi-autonomously to achieve it. Demonstrate ownership of initiatives and drive them through to completion.
Maintain business rules and transformation logic for Marketing platforms using varied set of tools and scripting languages.
Resolve data related incidents including root cause analysis and solution recommendations
Partner with cross-functional teams to activate on customer data strategies.
Think critically about the business and how the work is performed. Identify opportunities to improve the status quo, inject data into the decision-making process, and support progress with facts.
Produce documentation surrounding business process, data flows & architecture, functional & technical requirements, and SOPs.
Required Experience and Skills
5+ years’ experience in IT or Technical business function
Experience with CRM, Marketing Automation, CDPs, and/or Campaign Management platforms (e.g., Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Unica, Alterian, Simon Data)
Experience with integration patterns including Web hooks, API, ETL, ELT
Experience with MDM concepts and technologies
3+ years' experience with SQL
3+ years' experience with database programming, modeling, or administration
Strong knowledge base in core facets of data management and analysis (data capture, hygiene, transformation, reporting, and analysis)
Experience with diagramming tools (Lucid Chart, Visio)
Demonstrated analytical ability with complex and abstract business problems. Strong quantitative analysis skills with an aptitude for handling large data volumes
Natural ability to effectively communicate complex business problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences
Well organized, detail-oriented and customer service focused
Preference to work in a fast paced, evolving and deadline driven environment
Preferred Experience and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Statistics, IT or equivalent experience
Expert level SQL programming skills
SAS programming experience
Expertise with Big Data tools and platforms (Snowflake, Big Query, AWS)
Proficiency with data visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau)
Experience working at global, publicly traded company
Experience in Database Marketing or related role
Experience with analytical programming techniques such as Python and R
