Wyndham Destinations is seeking a dynamic, visual creative designer and manager to make our globally recognized travel brands come to life. The Brand Strategy group has an opening for a Associate Creative Director, Brand Design. A deep understanding of branding, digital design and concept visualization are the baseline for this role. This person must be detail-oriented and possess a keen ability to bring creative concepts to life. The role involves concepting and designing a wide variety of assets that evoke the spirit of travel for e-commerce campaigns, brand communications and social engagement.
As a Associate Creative Director, Brand Design, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of in-house designers to create visually engaging solutions that inspire our customers to join, book, enjoy, and return to vacation destinations. You must also be a highly-collaborative creative since you’ll work closely with brand managers, content marketers, digital, social and sales to help shape Wyndham’s global portfolio of brands. There will also be frequent opportunities to create presentations and articulate creative work. This role will report directly to Wyndham’s Executive Creative Director of global brands.
We’re looking for an individual with experience managing a small but highly-capable design team including art directors, digital designers, and production designers. You must have the ability to handle the demands of various production schedules and devote the necessary time and resources to meet deadlines. This is an amazing opportunity for a hands-on design manager to help define the brand for a multi-billion dollar travel company.
Essential Job Functions
Visual language expert and strong adherence to standard guidelines for each brand and product offering. Brand digital design and UX expertise – proven experience across all channels: web, email, display, social, video, print, etc. Translate marketing and business objectives into creative visually appealing solutions – and the ability to communicate and sell to the key stakeholders. Create and foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company, design/product and personal objectives. Create clear and measurable goals and objectives for the team related to the creation of design, high-quality interactions that support critical business objectives, and partnership with cross-functional teams. Manage multiple projects; supervise designing, idea development, style and implementation; assign tasks and monitor progress. Partake in all aspects of team projects, aiming at innovation and quality. Offer direction to members of the creative team.
8+ years of experience in design/ digital marketing agency including 3+ years as a lead designer or people manager.
Exceptional online portfolio that shows conceptual thinking as well as excellence in art direction and design.

Team manager who is constructive, collaborative, and committed to guiding the design team in producing the best work possible, and to the overall creative vision.
Limited travel required. Approximately 10% of time
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
8-10 years experience in one or more of the following areas: creative/digital/marketing design
Experience across channels (digital, social, print). Travel brand experience a plus.
Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels throughout organization
Knowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising, and digital experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilities
Must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques
Proficient to expert in: Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Keynote, PPT., etc.
Prior experience managing direct reports
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Passionate attitude with willingness and enthusiasm to own your team and your own growth
BS/BA degree required. Degree in design-related discipline: Graphic Design or Communications Marketing
