Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for controlling, maintaining and verifying a system of monitoring and measurement equipment used in the manufacturing of high reliability aerospace and military capacitors.

Requires being able to determine calibration needs and perform verification of equipment in house or coordinate with an external supplier who will perform the verification.

Maintain the calibration schedule using computer software ensuring that all equipment is calibrated on time and in good working order.

Troubleshoot equipment problems and communicate with department managers, manufacturing personnel and technical peers about equipment problems as necessary.

Perform Visual, Mechanical and Electrical inspection of capacitors, filters and components to determine if product meets defined specifications using equipment such as LCR meter, multimeter, digital calipers, height gauge, microscope etc..

Must be able to read and understand product specifications and inspection procedures, use and interpret electrical and mechanical measurement equipment.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Familiar with computers and software (e.g. Windows, Excel)

Experience with different measurement techniques both electrical and mechanical

Knowledge of electronics, electricity and electrical circuitry is a plus

HS diploma required.

Technical degree preferred

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
