As part of the Special Projects Team, the Business Consultant is responsible for proactive outreach, education and engagement with employers, helping them to find and retain key talent. Depending on the needs of the individual business, the Consultant may organize hiring fairs, post and promote vacancies, refer candidates for interviews, and help establish on-the-job training programs, internships and apprenticeships.
This position requires excellent business to business acumen, general knowledge of career and employment services, accurate data entry and the ability to collaborate with business owners from different industries.

Establish strong community presence and elevate awareness of CSCF brand and services.
Solicit employers to register for grant-funded services and assistance as they look to fill their workforce needs.
Establish a holistic approach to meeting the needs of individual employers and deliver services in the most efficient and timely manner.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with career-services team to refer candidates for open positions and solicit participation in hiring fairs.
Responsible for accurate and timely documentation into an online CRM system (Salesforce) including new employer records, activities, events, conversations, follow-up and next steps.
Other tasks as duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION: Supervision Received - Work is performed independently under limited supervision with some latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Associate degree from an *accredited institution in business administration, social sciences, or related discipline; supplemented by (4) years’ experience in workforce development or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Minimum qualifications for combination:
High School Diploma or GED combined with at least six (6) years in workforce or related experience.
Associates or equivalent coursework from an accredited institution in a related field combined with at least two (2) years in workforce or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related area from an accredited institution
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to promote career services in the community through outreach events, and
attendance at meetings

· Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Internet
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Tasks involves light physical effort (i.e., some standing and walking, or frequent light lifting of less than 10 pounds); and minimal dexterity in the use of fingers and limbs in the operating of office equipment. Tasks may involve extended periods of time sitting at a workstation and utilizing a keyboard.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Tasks are regularly performed inside with the potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Some tasks require manual dexterity. Some tasks require visual and hearing acuity. Tasks may involve identifying and distinguishing colors. Tasks require oral communications ability.
