The Revenue & Yield Manager fills a pivotal role in the execution of strategic Inventory Management practices that monetizes excess Owner, Club and Developer inventory through a progressive Rental operation. This passionate hospitality leader will implement an effective revenue/yield approach that encompass all facets of pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, selling strategies and tactics to deliver on the company’s goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy
Develop and deliver the revenue management strategy, leading discussions, and decisions in effective communication with Resort Managers and corporate leaders
Forecast and Budget Rental Revenue across the portfolio, and deliver on those expectations
Formulate and deploy transient, wholesale and group rental initiatives and pricing strategies, while maximizing revenue from a rate and occupancy perspective
Monitor actions of competitive resorts in each respective market (property improvements, distribution changes, pricing strategies, service offerings, etc.)
Lead and facilitate yield calls with the Resort Managers to review prior period’s performance, current pace, daily pricing, and strategies to improve need periods
Determine pricing strategies for every day of the year based on supply, pace, demand, competition, market trends and budget, continually reviewing and updating as this is a fluid operation
Monitor all rate and strategy changes in the brand systems and maintain the system processes
Oversee relationships with OTAs and ensure best representation on 3rd party web sites
Be the expert on current market, industry conditions, and travel trends
Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
Works with management to establish strategies to increase room revenue while maintaining profit margin
Develop statistical models and perform appropriate analysis to identify significant trends across the portfolio
Contributes to the financial success of the properties via participation in annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan process.
Help create and maintain comprehensive dashboards (PowerBI) measuring key performance indicators such as Occupancy, ADR, LOS, etc.
Derive integrated advanced analytical models for reporting, forecasting, and budgeting (weekly, monthly, and annually) to accurately understand future performance trends and adjust strategy based on insights
Building Successful Relationships
Brings innovative new ideas to the table while encouraging the team to do the same.
Establish trusting partnerships across various corporate departments
Participates in industry networking and educational events.
Qualifications and Skills:
4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hospitality Management, or related field experience
5+ years in strategic hospitality revenue management required
Experience in timeshare segment preferred
Experience managing multiple markets
Experience with price shopping tools
Knowledge of revenue management strategies
Knowledge of GDS connections
Knowledge of third-party (OTAs) extranets such as Expedia Partner Central, Booking.com, etc.
Experience with the TravelClick booking engine and channel manager a plus!
Advanced skills in managing and leading complex programs and projects
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of revenue management professionals
Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated presentation skills (content development and facilitation)
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners at all levels
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
Ability to create and promote a positive, successful, and professional work environment and lead by example
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
