About us

OATA strives to be an industry leader towards a reimagined approach in dealer and transaction processing; pillared by a culture of genuine, neighborly service. We have a private tag agency and a title clerking service to help us achieve these goals and we continue to develop new solutions for our customers.

We came into the market in 2015 in the midst of substantial changes to the electronic filing system. Processing agencies vary in procedures, turnaround times, and customer service. We strive for better than a 24 hour turnaround in all of our lines of business as well as a direct line for questions, issues, and customer service.

We employ more than 25 title clerks who come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from local Tax Collectors offices, franchise and independent dealerships, as well as out of state DMVs. We collectively have a wealth of knowledge and enjoy sharing that expertise to provide you with guidance in navigating the complex world of lawful tag and title processing. We provide all of these services, usually for little to no fees.

OATA Processing, our private tag agency, operates as a fully functioning DMV office. We have direct authorization from both the Orange County Tax Collector’s office and the Florida Division of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. We obtained a contract after a rigorous bid process in May 2015. After significant vetting, we were able to begin operations in November 2015 and have been in continuous operation since processing on average 750,000 transactions per year.

OATA Clerking began operations in 2017 at the request of an existing customer who was struggling with a constant turnover of title clerks. We created a separate entity with an independent management structure to ensure a firewall between the Processing and Clerking operations. Since then, we have expanded our range of services to any and all DMV related transactions. We have processed transactions in more than 40 states.
