Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides programs and services for children and families. Based out of Orlando, FL, with a coverage area of Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties, this position with the Neighborhood Center for Families Program is responsible for:
Providing therapy to children and families; this is a community based program and the position will be housed at a Community Center.
Providing intensive services, assessing clients, and formulating individualized multidisciplinary treatment plans.
Consulting with and training parents on therapeutic interventions and behavioral programs.
Working with treatment team members and case managers; on-call telephone support for crisis and emergency situations on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure:
Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology required
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida preferred
Experience:
Two years' experience working directly with children, adolescents and families OR related experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician preferred
Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's license
Must be able to complete a three day new hire orientation class (Monday - Wednesday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
Mustbe willing to meet clients in community setting.
Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test. Devereux requires all employees to obtain the annual Influenza Vaccine.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
