Hearing Aid Specialist (training available)
PROFESSIONAL NEEDED FOR HEARING AID SALES
We are looking for a sales professional for a career position helping prospects hear better by testing their hearing and fitting them with hearing aids.
Fast Track Audiology training, along with hearing aids and sales training will be provided to help prepare a selected candidate who is not currently licensed as a hearing aid specialist or audiologist. Must be a quick learner and be computer literate.
A qualified candidate must be a people-friendly individual. Integrity is essential. This is a full-time opening at our Hearing Aid dispensing office in East Orlando, Fl.. Our company Excels at Customer Service and Follow Up. We are committed to heavy and consistent marketing to bring in a flow of new prospects to the office.
Self-starter, organized, self-motivated, and able to multi-task is a must. Spanish fluency would be very helpful, but not required. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:15-4:45. Paid vacation, holidays, sick days are offered; along with bi-weekly salary and generous commission schedule. Excellent, low stress work environment, in a state of the art office.

Step #1) To become a Florida Licensed Hearing Aid specialist, you must register for and complete a Distance Learning program through the International Hearing Society (done in our office and your home). This is the textbook part of becoming a specialist. It all depends on how aggressively you attack the lesson material. could take 3 weeks, or you could spend 60 days on it. At the end of the course, you take an online test at your house for completion of the course.
Step #2) After completing the Distance Learning program, you register with the State of Florida (Dept. of Health) for $105.00 and enter the trainee program, with me as your sponsor. This is a 6 month internship program working and training under me. After 30 days you can begin seeing patients on your own (without me). (1st 30 days work part time or full time shadowing me and doing some parts of the hearing test....but working together).
Step #3) After completing your 6 month internship, you can take your State Licensing exam at a certified testing center (a number of them in Orlando). Once you pass, you pay your licensing fee (pro-rated) and then you are licensed and have to renew every 2 years.
The pay package is Salary + commission. First year is approximately $50,000.00 plus. 2nd year continues to go up each year. Industry average is about $75K per year for an experienced and trained Specialist.
