JOB OVERVIEW:
To provide superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by assuming responsibility for the overall patient experience as it relates to the staff training, task assignments, and overall management of resources available to clinical operations. This position is also responsible for the support of the Chief Operating Officer as it relates to the organizations goals and performance benchmarks and the implementation of company policies and procedures addressing Health Care Plans, quality Programs and Grant Development.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

·         Monitor and manage department’s functional performance measures and take appropriate actions to perform to benchmarks.

·         Collaboratively further the working understanding and clinical knowledge of staff through the development and implication.

·         Identify opportunities for process improvement and work collaboratively across the organization to implement effective solutions.

·         Efficiently utilizes personnel resources to plan, organize, and coordinate the daily activities each of the clinics of responsibility.

·         Establishes and maintains positive, effective communication and interpersonal relationships with patients, associates, managers, and providers.

·         Resolves patient concerns and complaints at the mid-level.

·         Maintains a safe and professional work environment at clinics of responsibility.

·         Responsible for all aspects of facility quality reviews including but not limited to clear dashboard monthly safety reviews and chart reviews.

·         Completes associate evaluations in a timely manner for all associates in clinical support functions. Is responsible for recruitment process and positive coaching for clinical support associates.

·         Develops annual goals for employees through education and training as needed.

·         Responsible for established productivity standards.

·         Develops and conducts training routines.

·         Ensures that all clinical support staff are informed of any process or policy change affecting the delivery of patient care.

·         Participates in staff meetings to maintain associates are up to date with general changes.

·         Responsible for cost effective management of resources including medical supplies and pharmacy inventory.

·         Maintains communication with other community health related agencies and organizations.

·         Oversees QA/QI procedures for community health center.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree from an accredited educational institution.   

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

·         Experience in the clinical operational management.

·         Experience in Quality Plans, Risk management, and Pharmacy Management.

·         Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

·         Experienced in the operations of Federally Qualified Health centers (FQHC).

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Excellent collaboration skills required for community relationship building.

·         Automated office and PC experience required

·         Ability to plan, organize, lead, and control clinical goals and objectives.

·         Ability to manage clinical goals and meet set expectations.

·         Ability to lead clinical support staff to meet their monthly goals.

·         Ensures that all safety and quality standards are maintained at each clinical location.

·         Reviews daily provider schedules to ensure maximum utilization.

·         Reviews patient flow from beginning to end of clinical experience, coordinates with Patient Services Manager.

·         Stays abreast of any changes in clinical guidelines and communicates same to support staff.

·         Maintains a good communication flow with our clients, patients, associates, and superiors.

·         Handles situations with ease and maintains a professional demeanor.

·         Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ensures that the mission, goals, and objectives are clearly communicated to the staff.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

·         Technical competency in the area of Health Care Computer applications.

·         Able to work in a stressful environment.

·         Ability to assess, interpret data and educate staff.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects to completion.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·         Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

·         Ability to bend and stoop to perform job.

·         Hand-eye coordination.

·         Ability to meet additional demands and lifting requirements as defined by the department.

·         Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.

·         Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

·         Must be able to manage high levels of stress and handle day to day stressful situations.
