THE POSITION:

Responsible for all aspects operating the Safety Management Department including Casualty, Security, and Safety Training. Works with Food Safety Program Manager on site food safety initiatives.

Educational Requirements:

    High School Diploma

    Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience Required:

    2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.

    Work experience as a driver preferred

    Knowledge of DOT policies and procedures

    Drug & Alcohol Training

    B.A.T., HAZMAT Technician

    First Aid a plus

Specific Responsibilities:

    Development of the FreshPointSafe Program and assist each department in maintaining high levels of awareness and training.  Some examples of the FreshPointSafe development are:

    Preferred work methods

    Coach Cards

    Observations

    Supervisor Training

Ensure regulatory compliance item are adhered to meet to include annual employee training. O.S.H.A. regulation, i.e. CFR 29 parts 1900 1910.999:

    Power equipment training and certification

    Lock out/tag out

    Hazardous material training – HM 126F

    HAZWOPER

    M.S.D.S. compliance
    Have a good knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and regulatory compliance, i.e.
    Drug & alcohol compliance

    Hazardous materials for shippers and transporters 181.

    Accident investigations

    Driver qualifications

    Driver training

    Key compliance topics

    O.S.H.A. 2 – Log and Record Keeping

    General guidelines and regulations

    Modified duty – requirements and regulations

    M.M.I., T.T.P., P.I.R., knowledge and understanding
