Substance Abuse Counselor I
Responsibilities:
Develop Individualized treatment plans and provide case management.
Responsible for maintaining original, accurate and up to date case records in a timely and thorough manner on each client consistent with program policy and the 65D-30, F.A.C.
May be required to drive your personal vehicle for meetings, appointments, conferences, errands, etc.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A thorough knowledge of substance abuse and mental health counseling techniques.
Thorough Knowledge of individual counseling techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to drive a car as well as a fifteen (15) passenger van.
Minimum Education, Experience, and/or Training:
High School Diploma or the equivalent.
Two (2) years work experience in the substance abuse treatment field preferred.
Must pass a required background screening every five (5) Years.
Complete four (4) hours AIDS training within six (6) Months.
Complete CPR/First Aid Training within six (6) months.
