GENERAL PURPOSE:

Supporting CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) core business functions by consulting across all CSCF departments on PMO strategy and project management within the organization, from start to finish. In charge of planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting the PMO and projects with the use of various project management methodologies, focusing on proactively breaking down silos between departments and keeping project teams organized and on track. The PMO Manager is to ensure that the project runs smoothly and stays on schedule, while also improving processes that will be used for organizational learning.

Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.

Define and maintain project management tools, templates, and reporting systems to facilitate project planning, tracking, and communication.

Create project management competency, fluency, and culture in the organization providing guidance and training to all levels of staff.

Monitor project performance against established metrics and benchmarks, identifying areas for improvement, and taking corrective actions as needed.

Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and allocate resources, manage dependencies, and optimize project portfolios.

Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular presentation updates on project status, risks, and issues, and making recommendations for decision-making.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO, promoting innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing by proactively working across silos.

SUPERVISION:

Supervision Received - Work is performed independently under limited supervision with moderate latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Supervision Performed - Has no direct reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

Proven experience 3-5 years in project management, with a focus on leading and managing complex projects and programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred knowledge of accessibility platforms to serve individuals with disabilities.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage resources effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Tasks involve light physical effort (i.e., some standing and walking, or frequent light lifting of less than 10 pounds); and minimal dexterity in the use of fingers and limbs in the operating of office equipment. Tasks may involve extended periods of time sitting at a workstation and utilizing a keyboard. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel extensively.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position has a hybrid work schedule that combines remote work and in-office work based on business needs. Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity. Some tasks require visual and hearing acuity. Tasks may involve identifying and distinguishing colors. Tasks require oral communications ability.
