We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AP & Payroll Supervisor to join our team at IMA Medical Group. The AP and Payroll Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day activities of the AP and Payroll functions and serve as a subject matter expert for these areas, as well as specific Accounting functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Responsibilities:

Assist with payroll review, ensuring correct calculations, tax treatment, etc.
Review and prepare bonus calculations
Assist with the 401k plan audit
Cross-train on the payroll preparation process

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:

Assist with the invoice review process and ensuring accurate expense and department coding
Assist with reconciling vendor balances
Research and resolve any discrepancies
Verify vendor exclusion checks, validate vendor-provided documentation (i.e., W-9s and EIN verification), and ensure continued compliance
Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments
Ensure accurate and timely completion of 1099 reporting

Accounting Responsibilities:

Own ASC 842 lease accounting, including but not limited to, entering leases into the lease accounting software, updating lease schedules, and researching lease scenarios and handlings
Calculate and prepare commercial lease rent payments and communicate with landlords regarding matters pertaining to rent and CAM
Own the Tangible Personal Property tax process, including but not limited to, providing fixed asset and supplies data to the tax accountants, assisting with inquiries, and validating and mailing returns
Review Accounting expense allocations prepared by the Accounting team

General Responsibilities:

Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Assist with the build out of Standards of Procedure documentation for key processes
Evaluate processes to identify opportunities for process improvement
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the daily operations of AP and Payroll functions
Supervise the AP and Payroll staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
1+ year of Supervisory experience
5+ years of Payroll and Accounts Payable experience
Relevant Accounting experience
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities
Highly self-motivated and proactive problem solver who can work independently and collaborate through strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team player that can build effective working relationships with others in the department and organization
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
