Division: Bargain Store

Reports To: Director of the Bargain Store

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Act as secondary cashier ensuring there are never more than two customers in line, also when the current customer has a large order.
Welcome all customers entering the story and help check in bags when required.
Ensure, provide, and promote excellent customer service
Monitor the sales floor ensuring it is kept clean, tidy and organized as well as your work area.
Make sure bags and supplies for your area are adequately stocked.
Assist with jewelry display and dressing rooms.
Assist with customer inquiries directing as needed to Store Director.
Report suspicious customer behavior or problems to Store Director.
Balance cash drawer at close of day.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, to multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
