The Opportunity!

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for the monthly reconciliation of all cash, and cash-like accounts, account receivable and account payables accounts, and sub-accounts. You will also be responsible for quarterly reconciliation of all other balance sheet accounts.

A Day in the Life of a Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis!

You will find yourself:

Preparing items for monthly close, invoicing, and grant compliance.
Analyzing records of present and past operations, trends, and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.
Documenting revenues and expenditures expected and submitting to management.
Developing financial/accounting concepts for financial planning and control.
Assisting in the preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
Advising management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Owning the FP&A process for the current year and preparing a budget for the following year.

Qualifications

Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:

Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Sitting for long periods of time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Preferred Masters, Business Administration.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an analytical role demonstrating initiative and accuracy.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience using Microsoft Excel with the ability to work with large data sets using functions such as pivot table, VLOOKUP, sum-product, filters, etc.
Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication. Ability to present information to groups.
