The Opportunity!

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Retail Data Analyst, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service to our internal clients in the Retail, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Risk, and IT departments. You will also play a crucial role in our growing retail organization by analyzing and interpreting data related to sales, market research, logistics, and other relevant behaviors.

A Day in the Life of a Retail Data Analyst!

You will find yourself:

Gathering and organizing data related to sales performance, customer behavior, inventory levels, and other retail metrics.
Collaborating with retail and cross-functional teams to acquire relevant data and to Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data.
Utilizing tools such as DOMO, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel to analyze large datasets to create visually appealing dashboards and reports.
Translating complex data into actionable insights and presenting findings to management and other stakeholders.
Highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending strategic actions.
Providing data-driven recommendations for inventory management, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Proposing enhancements to data collection processes and reporting methodologies.

Qualifications

Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in data science, business analytics, or a related field.
Proficiency in DOMO, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills., presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Knowledge of retail operations and industry-specific metrics is a plus.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related field.
