Friends of Children and Families is seeking a Residential Coordinator to oversee our residential group homes in Union Park & Sanford.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

• Directs programmatic operations at Friends of Children and Families.
• Training new hires at all locations.
• Interviewing, training, and scheduling all direct support staff.
• Supervising all staff and clients at the group homes as assigned by the administrative team.
• Available to be On-Call at least 2 (two) weeks/weekends per month.
• Leads, motivates, and evaluates staff to ensure program quality, and program staff development in meeting program expectations.
• Oversees and coordinates program efforts to ensure a team-driven process involving caregivers, youth, families, and community services working together to develop, implement, and provide quality services.
• Ensure program objectives and outcomes are being met on a day-to-day basis and provide consultation, coaching, and feedback as necessary while monitoring the progress made in achieving programmatic objectives.
• Participates in budget preparation and monitoring financial information for program services; communicates financial information with the appropriate personnel and ensures performance within the program budgets.
• Establishes and maintains relationships and partnerships with community stakeholders, agencies, and public and private officials to advocate for youth and families while representing Friends in a professional manner.
• Administers policies and oversees program compliance with contractual, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pop-up visits for all shifts.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with DCF Regulations.
• Assists Clinical team in reviewing placement.
• Ensuring incident reports, workers daily logs, files, and all other records are submitted per contract guidelines and are stored in the appropriate places, per HIPPA.
• Ensuring budget reports and receipts are submitted accurately per Friends policy.
• Assist with case management as required.
• Oversees cleanliness of home, premises, and vehicles.
• Oversees fire drills are conducted monthly, within 24 hours of new client’s admission; entries are accurately recorded and maintained in the fire log and turned in monthly.
• Provide a safe environment for the children where no incidents of abuse or neglect occur.
• Ensuring that the reward system is followed in the group home.
• Report any unusual circumstances to the Administrator staff within 24 hours.
• Debrief and document with staff after all incidents.
• Assist in developing and implementing a recreational tract that includes components of treatment goals. Initiates group outings, networks with outside resources, and provides opportunities for fun and enjoyment.
• Oversee the tracking of the community activities for the group home.
• Provide coverage to home as needed.

Coming Soon! We are excited about the opening of our new group home located in Sanford, Florida! The house is in Sanford (near 417 and Ronald Reagan Blvd.); however, training will take place at our Oviedo and Union Park locations.

As a DSP, you will provide care for abused and neglected youth that have been placed in foster care. In a group home setting, you will assist in implementing treatment goals to ensure that the health, nutritional, educational, social, and recreational needs of the youth are met. You will be responsible for transporting youth, in a company vehicle, to activities such as school, medical appointments and recreational outings. The ability to establish positive relationships is imperative to this position to be successful in delivering assistance with necessary tasks such as homework and independent living skills. This position requires cooking, light cleaning, distribution of medications and proficiency with email and computer use.

A REQUIREMENT OF THIS POSITION IS A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE APPROVED BY THE COMPANY INSURANCE CARRIER.

Open Shifts
Must be available to work one of the following shifts:

• 4pm-12am: (Full Time-32 hours) Friday- Monday
• 4pm-12am: (Full Time- 40 hours) Tuesday- Saturday
• 12am-8am: (Part Time- 16 hours) Friday/Saturday
• 12am-8am: (Full Time- 40 hours) Sunday- Thursday

Starting Pay= $16.00 (plus differential pay)

Shift Differentials

The 12am-8am shift M-F will receive an additional $.75 per hour.
The 12am-8am Sat/Sun will receive an additional $1.50 per hour.
Sat/Sun 8am-4pm & 4pm-12am will receive an additional $.75 per hour.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, ability to pass a level II background check, ability to pass a drug screening.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• In addition, all DSPs are required to attend in-service training and maintain 40 hours of continuing education units per year.
• Able to attend mandatory training/meetings outside of your regular schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Coordinator/OS Assistant will work under the supervision of the Office Manager and will contribute to the smooth operation of our facility. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: VP of Content Development

Interview Process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping, and related assignments.

Transport materials, supplies, heavy equipment from site to site (within and outside of Florida).

Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations.

In this safety-sensitive position, you will be required to work on various construction sites performing basic tasks.

Load and unload construction materials

Perform construction site setup and cleanup

Complete all job-related duties as instructed by supervisor.

Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements:

Active Class A CDL (for both manual and automatic transmissions)

Some construction or outdoor manual labor experience

Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record required

Willing to travel in and outside of Florida

Ability to perform physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks including frequent bending, kneeling and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working outdoors in a high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations

Able to work in confined and cluttered spaces

Capable of climbing and keeping balance on uneven areas.

Salary: $21-$23/hr (OT - standard hourly rate x 1.5)

Per diem: $150/day
