The Fire Rescue Communications Department is seeking Dispatcher Trainees.

Dispatcher Trainees participate in training activities associated with preparing for the Florida Public Safety Telecommunications examinations for 911 Public Safety Telecommunications (PST). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications for this position, including assessments, as part of the qualification process. Trainees must successfully complete all requirements for Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) and Emergency Fire Dispatcher (EFD) and complete the alarms in progress (AIP) and emergency call taking assessment.

Salary
$17.22/hour
$18.56/hour (After successful completion of the Dispatcher Trainee requirements, as described in the Notes section of this job posting, Trainees will be eligible to move to a Dispatcher position in approximately 12 weeks).
