Description

Location: Jacksonville, FL.

A diesel mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and vehicles. They diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of diesel-powered equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical program in diesel mechanics is preferred.

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, components, and operations.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems in diesel-powered vehicles.
Strong mechanical and technical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
