The Opportunity!

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Territory LP & Safety Manager, you will develop and implement programs to protect the Organization’s assets and improve profitability, including security, loss prevention, and internal control. The position will also coordinate and monitor all functions of the safety, and worker’s compensation programs. Major duties include performing loss prevention investigations, mitigating losses, coordination of SARA (Safety & Risk Ambassadors), providing safety training, investigating accidents, and interpreting safety policies.

A Day in the Life of a Territory LP & Safety Manager!

You will find yourself:

Minimizing financial losses related to theft, employee dishonesty, vandalism, and shrinkage by developing programs and training to prevent repeat occurrences.
Maintaining worker’s compensation files and giving weekly feedback to the Director of Risk Management, Loss Prevention & Safety.
Developing and implementing security programs for employees and customers in order to protect the Organization’s assets and improve profitability.
Keeping an external focus on shoplifting, vandalism, counterfeiting, robbery, burglary, and store security.
Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with employees, vendors, and law enforcement personnel.
Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
Collaborating with the GICF Risk Management Project Manager, the worker’s compensation insurance company, and the insurance broker to close claims as quickly as possible.

Qualifications

Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:

Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
Occasionally stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or certification in occupational safety (COSS or CSP), criminal justice, administration, human resources, or related field preferred.
A minimum of two (2) yearsexperience in retail loss prevention, safety, worker's compensation, and training.
Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Intermediate knowledge of Publisher.
Wicklander Zulawski Certification is preferred.
Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record and current private auto insurance policy.
