Position Summary: TA Regional Managers maintain a 1:1 relationship with Translation Services Supervising Directors. The Regional Manager will proactively communicate with the TS Supervising Director to be aware of upcoming regional events and needs, and to share software and resource updates pertinent to the Supervising Director. The Regional Manager will serve as a single point of contact for the Supervising Director, becoming a trusted ally for the entire regional work.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Consistent, proactive communication with the corresponding Supervising Director, at least monthly, but ideally more frequently. Communication should be either face-to-face or via video call, along with consistent Teams chats, emails, etc.
  2. Oversees training, hardware, events, and regional deployments to advance the organization’s strategic initiatives and priorities.
  3. Suggest new technologies, equipment, and systems to assist any changing requirements.
  4. Oversees regional planning to achieve goals.
  5. Oversees reporting for the region, submitting activity reports, with photos, to the TA Director monthly.
  6. Manages regional staff and volunteers, including recruiting, supervision, development, and evaluation.
  7. Regularly report software or hardware problems that arise in the field to assist in developing effective solutions.
  8. Promotes an attitude of service.
  9. Works on other tasks and projects as directed by the TA Director.

Education, prior work experience, and/or specialized skills and knowledge:

  1. B.A. or B.S. degree in technology or business administration is desired.
  2. Experience managing and/or directing staff.
  3. Experience working in non-profit organizations is desirable.
  4. Ability to manage in a changing environment.
  5. Ability to effectively prioritize and lead a team.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form.
  7. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Experience in budgeting and report writing is desirable.
